Many years later a far greater leader would arise and His Kingdom would surpass that of David's because He had the very heart of God. The person God uses: David had heart. David had character. David had integrity. Jesus is a better David.

Sometimes we make bad decisions and think "My life is ruined!" If we look at the life of Moses in Exodus 2 we see that you can't ruin your life. Moses was raised in privilege being adopted by Pharaoh's daughter, yet knowing his Hebrew roots and seeing the injustice they were receiving by the Egyptians he sinned in his anger, murdering an Egyptian slave master. Moses had to flee Egypt in fear of being killed. He spent 40 years in the desert where God prepared him for what He had planned for Moses, delivering the Nation of Israel from Egypt.
